Is not unicode-ready

The chm files I have are all in unicode. Unfortunately, chm readers display them in Western languages. So, CHM-2-Word and CHM-2-HTML do not display them correctly, either. The encode of the files output by CHM-2-HTML can be changed to unicode using the IE's encoding option. However, CHM-2-Word cannot. So, I'd require both programs to have the function to change encoding before output. This function is essential to me. The reason why I bought those programs is that my comparison of many similar programs showed that they are definitely the best programs. So, you are No.1.

Thank you for your reply. I've just sent a typical chm file to you for your analysis. I hope that file will be helpful for your analysis.

Dear David, Thank you for your second reply. I cannot understand why your email could not be sent to me. Anyway, I followed your advice as follows: But the issue persists in a different way. I've just sent two screen copies showing the problem, attached to another email. Please deal with this issue.

Thank you for your quick reply. This time, your email successfully arrived at me. I downloaded and use the newest versions as instructed. But, the issue persits as I reported in my previous email. I use them on the Japanese Windows XP OS. Even on the Japanese OS, MS IE and an overseas CHM editor/decompiler can display the content correctly by changing the encode to UTF-8. In my experience, this type of garbling sometimes seems to happen due to a problem in handling unicodes. So, please check again the image data I sent and software.

I tried the newest versions but failed again. After installation, do I need to reboot the system? 1. CHM-2-HTML I inserted CharSet=UTF-8 into the Options in the project file. Then, I reopened the project file and ran the project. This software created an HTML file, which still lacks "UTF-8" as follows meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset= If I change charset= to charset=UTF-8 in the HTML file, then IE displays the content correctly. In spite of the insertion in the project file, the software does not insert the word "UTF-8" in the HTML file created. So, as a workaround, I can insert the word in created HTML files. 2. CHM-2-Word I inserted CharSet=UTF-8 into the Options in the project file. Then, I reopened the project file and ran the project. This software created a Word file, which is still in Western language encode. I do not have any workarounds with regard this issue.
