Including document names in CHM created from master/sub-document
Reply Quote
I am creating a CHM that is using the master/sub-document approach. I have created a master document that includes the titles of each sub-document as a Heading Level 1 and then inserted the sub-document immediately beneath the document title.

What is happening is the Heading level 1s in the sub-document and the Heading Level 1s in the master document are appearing at the same level. What I would like is for the content of the sub-documents to appear beneath the Heading Level 1s in the master document.

I tried using the Custom Root Level configuraiton option, but it did not have the desired effect.

Any suggestions or clarificaitons on how to use the Custom Root Level configuration option?

Thanks,
Doug

Solution:

1. You can change the heading level 1s in the master document to a big level, for example: level 6.
2. In Word-2-CHM set "Custom root level" to "6-9".
