I am trying to configure the default template (searcheable). I can't find an option to exclude the index when I activate the search bar. Also, which file do I modify to change the copyright text?

Open the "Template Settings" by clicking "Config" button, and in the left panel, you could find the settings:
  Uncheck "Show index tab" option will remove the index tab
  Modify the content of "Copyright text" to your own
