Formating problem with hyperlinks

I downloaded a copy of Word-2-CHM for evaluation.
In my Word document, I have 4 lines of text using Verdana 10 font, with hyperlinks pointing to sub chapters. The Hyperlink style in Word has been redefined as being not underlined.
When I generate and view the CHM output file, the hyperlinks don't have the same format:
Sometimes the hyperlink is shown as Verdana, sometimes in Courrier, and the font used does not seem to have a rule (random problem?)
The Word file is a .doc document (97 to 2003).
Is there a way to send you the file or screen shots of the Word/CHM documents?
